Spring Show Safety Rules and Suggestions

SKATERS

  • Skaters must sit on benches when on the ice. Do not spin, jump or move around. It can be dangerous.

  • When off the ice, please be patient, quiet and in control. NOISE BACKSTAGE DOES CARRY THROUGH TO THE ARENA.

  • Wear skate guards at all times when off the ice.

  • DO NOT EAT OR DRINK when in costume, EVER.

  • Older skaters - BE A GOOD ROLE MODEL. Please remember to set a good example for the younger skaters; they will do what you do. Help them to listen to instruction; be quiet and calm.

  • Listen and follow the directions of the Dressing Room parents and backstage crew at all times.

  • STAY BACKSTAGE - If you ever want to be in a professional show you must learn to be patient and stay out of sight of the audience at all times not performing.

    • PARENTS and Skaters
Please help skaters understand the need to obey the above rules. We've already had one serious accident and we do not want any others.

  • When watching rehearsals, please stay away from the rails and keep conversation low. The less noise and distraction we have, the better.

  • If you have any questions, especially during these final upcoming rehearsals, direct them to Maureen Feldman or Terrie Gershman. Do not go to Lisa and Colleen - they have their hands full.

  • Please put name labels on EVERYTHING: clothes, skate guards, hangers, accessories, etc.

  • Bring a laundry basket or box with the skater's name on it so they can put all their clothes in one place. It will really help if they keep all their stuff together.

  • Call Time for the show is one hour before show time - i.e. be ready at the Ice Arena one hour before the show begins.

  • Please do as much makeup and hair preparation as possible at home.

  • Please ensure that underwear does not show through or under costume.

    • VERY IMPORTANT: SNOOPY HAS THE RIGHT OF WAY. SNOOPY CANNOT SEE. PLEASE STAY OUT OF HIS WAY AND DO NOT TOUCH HIM.

IF WE DO ALL OF THE ABOVE THIS WILL BE A FUN, SAFE SHOW. SO LET'S ALL HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THIS WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

    THANK YOU.
