EVENTS TO BE SKATED
BASIC MOVES/BASIC FREESKATING



LINUS MOVES - Skaters may not have passed any USFSA Moves in the Field or Freeskating Tests.
Group 1- Skaters who have not reached the age of six (6) as of June 30, 2026
Group 2 - Skaters who have not reached the age of nine (9) as of June 30, 2026
Group 3 - Open - no age restriction
The compulsory program shall consist of the following six (6) elements. No additional elements are permitted. Maximum time limit, 1 minute
    1. Snowplow stop - one foot or two foot
    2. Forward swizzles - minimum of ten
    3. Bunny hop - maximum of five
    4. Back wiggles or back swizzles - minimum of ten
    5. Dip - deep knee bend while gliding on two feet
    6. Forward one foot glides - left & right

LUCY MOVES - Skaters may not have passed any USFSA Moves in the Field or Freeskating Tests.
Group 1 - Skaters who have not reached the age of nine (9) as of June 30, 2026
Group 2 - Open - no age restriction
The compulsory program shall consist of the following five (5) elements. No additional elements are permitted. Maximum time limit, 1 minute
    1. Forward crossovers - clockwise and counter clockwise - min. 5 each
    2. Backward crossovers - clockwise and counter-clockwise - min. 5 each
    3. Forward inside mohawk followed by extended backward outside edge
    4. T-stop - either foot
    5. Two-foot spin - entry optional

SNOOPY MOVES - Skaters may not have passed any USFSA Moves in the Field or Freeskating Tests.
Group 1 - Skaters who have not reached the age of nine (9) as of June 30, 2026
Group 2 - Open - no age restriction
The compulsory program shall consist of the following five (5) elements. No additional elements are permitted. Maximum time limit, 1 minute
    1. Forward outside edges - two each foot
    2. Forward spiral - either edge or flat
    3. One foot spin - free leg optional
    4. Waltz jump
    5. Half flip

MOVES IN THE FIELD


Moves in The Field Pre-Preliminary, Preliminary, Pre Juvenile, Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior and Senior are to be skated in accord with TR41.00 and the current USFSA Rule book patterns, except that feet and or directions will be drawn as indicated, announced and posted by the Competition Chief Referee prior to the start of practice ice. Events may be double paneled as determined by the Competition Chief Referee. Starting orders will be rotated, one mark will be given for each move and accounting computations will be performed as for figures. Passing the equivalent Free skating Test may be substituted for a Moves in the Field Test in order to qualify.

PRELIMINARY MOVES IN THE FIELD: Open to skaters who have passed the Pre- Preliminary Moves In The Field Test but not the Pre Juvenile Moves In The Field Test.
    1. Consecutive Spirals - one arena length (Edge to be drawn) PM2.
    2. Forward Power Three Turns - one arena length (foot to be drawn) PM3.

PRE-JUVENILE MOVES IN THE FIELD: Open to skaters who have passed the Preliminary
Moves In The Field Test but not the Juvenile Moves In The Field Test.
    1. 3 Turns in the Field - One arena length (Foot and edge to be drawn) PJM3 & 4
    2. Forward and Backward Power Change Of Edge Pulls - one arena length,
        (Direction to be drawn) PJM5
    3. Mohawk strip. One Arena length only, PJM 6.

JUVENILE MOVES IN THE FIELD: Open to skaters who have passed the Pre Juvenile Moves In The Field Test, but not the Intermediate Moves In The Field Test.
    1. Eight Step Mohawk Sequence (Direction to be drawn) JM1
    2. Back Power 3 turns (Direction to be drawn) - One circle only JM3
    3. Forward Double 3-Turns (edge to be drawn) -one arena length only JM4

INTERMEDIATE MOVES IN THE FIELD: Open to skaters who have passed the Juvenile Moves In The Field Test, but not the Novice Moves in the Field Test.
    1. Backward Perimeter Power Crossover Stroking with Backward Power 3-Turns
        (Direction to be drawn) IM3
    2. Brackets in the Field (Edge to be drawn) - one arena length only. IM5.
    3. Inside Slide Chasse Pattern, IM6.

NOVICE MOVES IN THE FIELD: Open to skaters who have passed the Intermediate Moves In The Field Test, but not the Junior Moves In The Field Test.
    1. Forward Perimeter Power Crossover Stroking to a Backward Quick Rocker Turn Sequence
        (Direction to be drawn) NM2
    2. Forward and Backward Counters (foot & edge to be drawn) NM3A & B.
        One arena length only.
    3. Bracket - Three -Bracket Pattern, NM6.

JUNIOR MOVES IN THE FIELD: Open to skaters who have passed the Novice Moves In The Field Test, but not the Senior Moves In The Field Test.
    1. Forward and Backward Rockers. (Edge & Foot to be drawn) one arena length only.
        JRM 3 A & B.
    2. Power Pulls (foot to be drawn) - one arena length only. JRM 4
    3. Straight Line Choctaw Sequence - one arena length only. Choice of starting foot . JRM5.

SENIOR MOVES IN THE FIELD: Open to skaters who have passed the Junior Moves In The Field Test.
    1.Extension Spiral Step (Starting spiral foot to be drawn) One arena length .SRM2
    2. Power Double 3-Turns to Power Double Rockers (Foot and A or B to be drawn)
        One Arena Length only. SRM 3 A & B
    3. Quick Edge Step. SRM4.

SINGLES SHORT PROGRAM

2000 / 2001 Requirements will be used for the Short Program

INTERMEDIATE SHORT PROGRAM - Open to skaters who have passed their Juvenile, but not their Novice Free Skating Test. In accordance with SSR 3.08 or 3.09.

NOVICE SHORT PROGRAM - Open to skaters who have passed their Intermediate, but not their Junior Free Skating Test. In accordance with SSR 3.06 or SSR 3.07.

JUNIOR SHORT PROGRAM - Open to skaters who have passed their Novice, but not their Senior Free Skating Test. In accordance with SSR 3.05 Ladies Group B, SSR 3.04 Men Group B

SENIOR SHORT PROGRAM - Open to skaters who have passed their Junior Freeskating Test in accordance with SSR 3.02 or SSR 3.03.

SINGLES FREE SKATING


PIXIE FREE SKATING - Open to skaters eight (8) years old and younger who have not passed their Pre-Preliminary Free Skating Test. A one minute program set to music. Restricted event, no axels or multi-revolution jumps

PRE-PRELIMINARY FREE SKATING - Open to skaters who have not passed their Preliminary Free Skating Test. A one minute program set to music. No axles or double jumps. Judges will deduct 0.2 point penalty for each illegal element performed.

PRELIMINARY FREE SKATING - Open to skaters who have passed the Pre Preliminary Free Skating Test ,but not their Pre Juvenile Free Skating Test. A one and one half minute program set to music.

PRE-JUVENILE FREE SKATING - Open to skaters who have passed their Preliminary Free Skating Test, but not their Juvenile Free Skating Test. A two minute program set to music.

JUVENILE FREE SKATING- Open to skaters under the age of 13, as of June 30, 2000, who have passed their Pre-Juvenile Free Skating Test, but not their Intermediate Free Skating Test. A two minute program set to music.

OPEN JUVENILE FREE SKATING- Open to skaters 13 years of age or over, as of June 30, 2000, who have passed their Pre- Juvenile Free Skating Test, but not the Intermediate Free Skating Test. A two minute program set to music.

INTERMEDIATE FREE SKATING - Open to skaters who have passed their Juvenile Free Skating Test, but not their Novice Free Skating Test. A two and one half minute program set to music.

NOVICE FREE SKATING - Open to skaters who have passed their Intermediate Free Skating Test, but not their Junior Free Skating Test. A three minute program set to music.

JUNIOR FREE SKATING - Open to skaters who have passed their Novice Free Skating Test, but not their Senior Free Skating Test. Ladies- A three and one half minute program set to music. Men- A Four minute program set to music.

SENIOR FREE SKATING - Open to skaters who have passed their Junior Free Skating Test. Ladies- A four minute program set to music. Men - A four and one half minute program set to music.

ADULT PRE-BRONZE FREE SKATING - Open to adults (25 years or older) who have passed no higher than the Adult Pre-Bronze Freeskating Test. A 1 minute 40 second program maximum, set to music. No axels permitted.

ADULT BRONZE FREE SKATING - Open to adults (25 years or older) who have passed the Adult Pre-Bronze Free Skating Test, but not the Adult Silver Free Skating Test, and no higher than the Preliminary Free Skating Test. A 1 minute 40 second program set to music. No axels permitted.

ADULT SILVER FREE SKATING - Open to adults (25 years or older) who have passed the Adult Bronze Free Skating Test, but not the Adult Gold Test, and no higher than the Juvenile Free Skating Test. A 2 minute 10 second program maximum set to music.

ADULT GOLD FREE SKATING - Open to adults (25 years or older) who have passed the Adult Silver Free Skating Test, and no higher than the Intermediate Free Skating Test. A 2 minute 40 second program maximum, set to music.

SINGLES ARTISTIC


This Artistic Freestyle Event is to be artistic, interpretive and creative. There is no restriction on music. All kinds of music are allowed. Use your imagination. Costumes may also be creative. The only props allowed will be safe props if they are hand held during the entire routine (a hat, a cane). No Feathers or boas permitted on costume or props. No helium or mylar balloons allowed. Any prop deemed unsafe will be eliminated. Judges will consider performance as well as skating ability in judging this event.
Artistic does not have to mean dramatic. It is perfectly all right to have a light program in this event.
Be entertaining, have fun, be creative and smile! A skater may enter this event in only one category.
NOTE: The difficulty and/or number of technical elements will not be a value factor.

PIXIE ARTISTIC - Open to skaters 8 years and under, who have not passed their Pre-Preliminary Free Skating Test. A one to one and one half minute program.
Restricted event, no axels or multi-revolution jumps.
