Announcing the 2008 Crystalline Competition

| CATEGORIES: | ||||
| PIXIE: Restricted event. Waltz jump,
salchow, toe loop, half jumps and upright spins are allowed. Must not have passed any US Figure Skating Freestyle Tests. |
||||
| LIMITED (LTD): No axels or double jumps permitted. | ||||
| DRAMATIC: A serious or emotional rendering of the skater’s music. | ||||
| LIGHT: A category which is entertaining, not dramatic. | ||||
| PAIRS: Two skaters – Boy/Girl. | ||||
| SIMILAR PAIRS: Two skaters – Girl/Girl or Boy/Boy. | ||||
| GROUPS: A group of skaters performing to a program built on a specific theme. The Competition Committee shall, by size and type, determine which groups skate against each other. | ||||
| MULTI-GENERATIONAL PAIRS: Those skating in this event must be related, and of two or more generations ie Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Grandparent/Grandchild, Uncle/Aunt/Cousin. | ||||
| INTERPRETIVE: A spontaneous interpretation of a selection of music cut for each group. 2-17-2008: We are sorry for the inconvenience but there will be NO INTERPRETIVE EVENTS at this year's Crystalline competition. |

SYNCHRONIZED: Composition of teams in accordance with USFSA Rules 4660 - 4790 |

| SINGLES / PAIRS LEVELS: | ||||
| Ranging from Pixie through Senior. (Pixie must not
have passed any US Figure Skating Freestyle Test). Adult PRE-Bronze through Gold and Masters Events |

| SPECIAL NEEDS EVENT | ||||
|
This is a demonstration event open to skaters with special physical limitations. It is open to skaters of any level, and may have a coach on the ice with the skater. This event may have music if desired, but is not required. All skaters will receive an award. The skaters in this event are encouraged to demonstrate their skills. |
