And Congratulations to Carmen Mitchell and Camille Leoni! Both of them are 1st alternates in their respective levels.

Carmen Mitchell is the 1st alternate for the Pacific Coast Sectionals competition to be held in Culver City, CA. Carmen competed in Senior Ladies, the highest level in US Figure Skating. Carmen also earned two Special Achievement Awards from US Figure Skating. One award was for earning the most points for spins in Senior Ladies Free Skate. She received the second award for being one of only three senior lady competitors who received at least one +2 GOE or higher for her CUSp4.

Camille Leoni is 1st alternate in the Juvenile Girls Freeskate division for the Junior National Championships being held in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was 5th overall out of 25 girls competing in her region. Camille was third in Juvenile Girls Group A. This placement advanced her into the Juvenile final round. She has earned two Special Achievement Awards from US Figure Skating. One award was in the Juvenile Group A qualifying round by having at least (one) +2 Grade of Execution (GOE). She earned a +2 GOE for her CCoSp4 spin and double flip. In the final round she earned a +2 GOE on her CCoSp3 spin. The highest any skater can have is a GOE of +3.

Carmen and Camille both received an e-certificate when they got home and their names will be posted on the USFS website and in skating magazine.
